--> SUMMIT COUNTY - After more than 10 years living in Summit County, Ainsley Gusaas has grown to love everything about this small mountain community. In all 14 have been reported, among the stolen items are backpacks, clothing, skis, checkbooks and wallets, and iPods and other small electronics. "I love the small-mountain-town feel, everyone looks out for everyone, it's an incredible place to live," said Gusaas. "I guess these are not technically break-ins, these are cars that have been left unlocked," said LeClair. In the past three week a rash of thefts from unlocked cars has swept through Summit County. Since she feels so safe in Summit County, she rarely locks her car. "We are guilty over the past 12 years most likely not locking our doors on our cars," said Gusaas. In recent weeks however, Tracy LeClair with the Summit County Sheriff's Department says that trust has been betrayed. In a separate instance, the vehicles' owners stated that their cars had been targeted just a couple of weeks prior as well.
