WXII The Triad - Jun 06, 2011
A Zara Spook is one of my favorite lures. Big and gaudy, it requires a little finesse to make it work. My favorite time to use it is during the late part of the striper run on the Roanoke River. If you're on the water early during that

What's the difference between the Zara Spook and the Super Spook topwater lures?

Posted by norbert in Fishing @ Nov 30, 2007

Q: The Heddon lures website and the Bass Pro Shops website and the Cabelas websites don't explain what the differences are between all the different Spooks. I see that the length and weights are slightly different but is that all there is between a regular Spook and a Super Spook?

A: The Spook is a 3/4oz bait the Super Spook is 7/8oz and the Super Spook Jr is 1/2oz, the Zara Puppy is 1/4oz. Both Super Spook models have internal rattles unlike the other Spooks and the larger size has 3 trebles and stronger hardware.
